Hi. Tried looking for an answer to this, but to no avail. I'm using Kodi 18.1 on my Android TV box, and am aware that the icons/images/thumbnails of the Home screen buttons reside in a file called Textures.xbt. But while I at some point wouldn't mind changing some of those (so far I can't unpack that file, as the Windows apps don't work on my Linux computer), I really wouldn't just mind changing the star thumb for my list of Favourites (each of which point to a different folder). And since Estuary actually allows this, and lets you browse to the image location, I just need to know what size/dimensions these should be, and what format (I'm guessing PNG, probably with transparency?). While I am here, if you know of a site that already has some custom button thumbnails up, in the right size and format for the Estuary Home screen, please let me know. Many thanks in advance.

given the enormous size of the Kodi community, with all the info out there, people making their own skins, etc - if there are sites/pages where people have made some really awesome thumbs for Kodi's Home screen, as in replacements for the lot including sub-sections, I'd like to check them out

Yeah, thanks - I was going to come back here and mark this as [SOLVED] (if that's even possible here?) as I managed to extract Textures.xbt in Linux and check out the size of the images. I should have asked if there were any other limitations, like max of 256 colours or anything, but seems the PNGs are RBG, 256x256px and can be millions of colours.

OK, not sure what "google settings tools icon size" means (sorry, bit cryptic) but as for searching for PNGs of a given size, yeah been doing that since PNGs were invented, hehe! What I was asking is - given the enormous size of the Kodi community, with all the info out there, people making their own skins, etc - if there are sites/pages where people have made some really awesome thumbs for Kodi's Home screen, as in replacements for the lot including sub-sections, I'd like to check them out. I'm guessing if there are so many people making skins for Kodi now, the images in them might be available, and if I found a set of amazing ones, I would pack them into Textures.xbt and use them. But as for my modest objective of setting unique icons for my various Favourites, I stuck with the star theme, albeit inverted pentagram with burning horned skull, haha.

I've been using forums since the birth of the internet (literally), and I can't remember a time or site where I couldn't do those, so I am assuming I'm the one who is missing something here. As for the latter, I'll just stick [SOLVED] in the subject line of this reply until I can find out how to mark the whole thread as [SOLVED]. Cheers
