Using Kodi 18 from Debian Multimedia Repository on Debian Bullseye

Music Visualizations do not work

Relevant log entries look like this, i can paste bin more if needed but i imagine osmeone will know the answer from this alone, even information as to what it means, will be helpful so i know what to type into google.


 ERROR: AddOnLog: FishBMC: CVertexShader::Compile: 0:1(10): error: GLSL 1.50 is not supported. Supported versions are: 1.10, 1.20, 1.30, 1.00 ES, and 3.00 ES

I just faced the same problem after compiling Kodi Leia + visualizations plugins on Debian Bullseye AMD64.
Workaround: before starting kodi-x11 , run this :
export MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=3.2 MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=150
