Alright I am having a few more library related problems. I have just wiped everything and installed a fresh ppa build of xbmc. For some reason my library is not updating. On my last install I could add items to the library manually and it worked like a charm. Also is there any way to skip the library category (genre ect.) when going into library mode? Right now when I try to scan for new content in a folder I get a black screen and xbmc becomes unresponsive. I have tried project mayham and aeon and it hppens in both skins.

1) always produce a debug log. there's no point in even attempting to diagnose a problem without one.
2) there should be a context menu item in files view to manually add to database. it'll first look for a matching xml based nfo file, and if one doesnt exist, you should be prompted for a title and genre.
3) sort of. you can make 'shortcuts' which access a particular section using activatewindow like this: activatewindow(videolibrary,movietitles). all the acceptable second parameters are below. (it is case insensitive.) please see if this in the wiki, and if not, please add it for me.
