Hi there!
I am totally new to Kodi and just installed LibreELEC 9.2.1 with Kodi 18.6 on a Lenovo ThinkCentre machine (i5 7400T, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB NVME).
I thought that choosing a Linux system could benefit from fewer background-processes in contrast to Windows, since the sole purpose of the machine is to run Kodi and nothing else.
The current problem is, that the interface is very slow and laggy in 2160p @ 60 Hz. It is blazing fast and smooth in 1080p @ 120 Hz, and the hardware should be able to run the interface smoothly, since it easily plays 2160p HDR files upwards of 80 GB (30-60 Hz though).
I have a friend with a worse machine, running Kodi on Windows (i5-2390T, 4 GB RAM) where the interface runs smoothly in 4K.
Any suggestions to what might be the problem?
