That's classed as the best android box on the market if ya want speed and regular firmware updates, kodi can be easily downloaded through playstore.

I personally use a firestick 4k and i am more than happy, it does everything that the shield does (not as fast) except for gaming and a hell of a lot cheaper. Kodi is sideloaded through the downloader app which is really easy to use.
