Can anyone tell me if there is a screensaver addon that will let me execute system commands, or if there is an easy way to make a simple one?

I know that there is a screensaver called Turn Off, but unfortunately it is not compatible with my system.
These commands do work when issued from a remote terminal, so I know that the CEC is communicating.
I would like to execute
echo "standby 0" | cec-client -s
at the initialization of the screensaver and echo "on 0" | cec-client -s
