just installed 4.0.2 and it starts with this https://streamable.com/p4g6rp then stops and buffers then the video seems fine for a bit then comes back then buffers again and its fine and follows this pattern

skipping chapters now causes buffering also

revert back to the build that allows disablediscreet and all is perfect again

I tried going to program files/kodi/kodi.exe. Then can choose high performance for GTX1650.

EDIT: Even with the GPU scheduling on and choosing KODI app to have performance, the minor half screen tearing intermittently come and go.
DISCOVERED that if you bring up the OSD menu, the tearing will disappear. Once the OSD menu goes off, tearing will come back.

@orby  & @Waterbottle23

I got this same effect from the video you posted (https://streamable.com/p4g6rp) by activating HW GPU scheduling and enablig "choose app for performance" option.

It seems more safe for now GPU scheduling = OFF and not playing with graphics priority settings on Windows 10

Probably these new features or the compatibility of the drivers with them still have bugs.

Is it safe to say these should be disabled then?

I've tested newest release, 4.0.2. For some reason it wasn't working initially after upgrading from your Normal HDR Kodi release, which had the stuttering problem. However, after installing a security update for .net and rebooting my PC it Works great in in both Exclusive Fullscreen and Windowed Fullscreen.

The GPU scheduling was introduced for nvidia driver version 451.XX in win10.
Previous version 446.14 only has the option of selecting which application to have better performance.
And by default, Kodi is not activated for better performance in the graphics setting.
So we r running V19 without any GPU “assisted” enabled in Windows10 all this while.
There’s no risk to disable or enable them at any point in time.

For jogal’s version 4.0.2, after installation, I didn’t play around with these settings.
So i just disable them.
And it works fine.
Unless there is still a problem, then I’ll enable GPU scheduling and see if it helps.

I think everything is perfect for NVIDIA now.

I also have tested with GPU scheduling activated and the issues seems are gone at least with 451.77 driver.

Now there is still one step left: I need someone with AMD or Ryzen to check that everything is still working fine after the last few changes.

Maybe @ichkriegediekri @demoncamber  @kalima

Thanks!
