Hello,

I’ve used Emby for a few years now and after having upgraded to Kodi 19 it seemed to work fine, too. But somehow background artwork/backdrops randomly disappears every x amount of minutes (say 30) and all I get is a black background then.

Any suggestions/ideas? How can I fix this?

Did a complete reinstall of Kodi and still the same. It happens after the Shield/Emby wakes from sleep. Some backgrounds work, others don’t load.

It happens to me too.
I think it could be because the "source" of the background its "dormant" (if your movie, tv or music source have several HDs, it could happen the one called by the background its asleep). Also, it could happened if the background in question it isn't cached yet (doing so allows to display any artwork even if the source its asleep).

The thing is it didn't happened before (or at least didn't noticed).

If someone could shed light into this I would appreciate... thanks!

Guys, are you using emby 4 kodi addon 5.1.17?
If yes, that's a known 'sleep bug' and currently being worked on.

Thumbnails are loaded an d displayed directly from emby server since 5.x.x, the big is a disconnect somehow with missing reconnect.

No, I don't use any artwork addon... just advencedsettings.xml (with it there is no need Smile

)

And I’m using Emby next gen, not the one you mentioned. Thanks for thinking with us though Smile
