WEB-DL 4K media flag
#16
I'll have a look, I think we can manage something there, I have the files to test with.

Give me some text info that shows other file naming 4K expectations on all use cases that you think would occur. I can use your 4K files and rename them in the same format you are doing and I can do real time test to verify the flags switch out.

I the idea is that as a user, your input will help determine the outcome here vs. me enforcing something that may or may not fit a global use. I think there is plenty of conditionals that can make this work, I just would like an array of combinations to see what is implementable vs what should be left alone.

TY.

For the regular Bluray flag (1080p not Ultra-HD) to appear you originally need to have the name Bluray in your videofile. If you have 720p/1080p or something else the H264 flag will show up instead.

I like to know what my files are, either compressed h264 bluray files or untouched bluray, so i either call my files BluRay Remux or 720p/1080p and i want the Bluray flag to appear on both naming as it looks much nicer in the library, thats why i have two bluray flags in the folder. One named bluray and one named h264.

Other than that the audio codecs show up correctly, even without naming them i believe, and the Ultra-HD Bluray flag shows up correct. (i name all my Ultra-HD Bluray files 2160p).

But the flag issue with the skin is the WEB-DL flag not showing on 4K WEB-DL files. This one right here is just what i prefer.

I see, give me some time to think about it, maybe I can come up with a solution.

Have a look at this and see if this is the expectation (interactive screen recorded video):

If the Breaking bad file you have, had been a Bluray Ultra-HD file it would be wrong, as it shows the regular Bluray flag in your video.

As the skin is originally:

For Regular bluray flag to appear you need to have the name Bluray it in (i see you write Blu-ray but it seems to show up anyway)
For Ultra-HD Bluray flag to appear you need to have either 2160p or 4K in the filename.

The second one in your video is correct as it is a 4K WEB-DL file.

And as mentioned, to have the Regular bluray flag to show up instead of the H264 flag when having 720p or 1080p in the filename, i have two regular bluray flag files in the folder, one name bluray and one named h264. So when i write 720p/1080p in the filename, i get the bluray flag instead of the H26 4flag.

But in the end. I think the focus should be, to getting the WEB-DL flag to show up on 4K files as this is an issue with the skin. This bluray flag modification i can tamper with myself, i can just replace the color flag folder and i have it like i want, without you needing to modify anything in the skin.

It was only a fast first attempt, I'll see if I can meet the condition and see if it works. Replacing flags and functions does not make sense to me.

Fixing the WEB-DL 4K flag issue would be great, i tried briefly with my very limited knowledge but i just ended up removing those lines in the Includes_Mediaflags file which is not ideal if im gonna update the skin on a regular basis, as i need to go into this file every time and edit.

Replacing the colored flag folder on the other hand, takes only a few seconds.

You are missing the Ultra-HD Bluray flag? I think that flag is originally in MR. V's version also, so you should have it. If not it is in the colored folder i sent you.

El camino 720p and 1080p dont make sense to have the Bluray and the 4K flag at the same time. That bluray flag in your video is for 720p/1080p resolution.
El camino 2160p you have two 4K flags, no video codec flag, just two resolution flags (here you should have the Ultra-HD Bluray flag)
El camino blu-ray same as i wrote on el camino 720p/1080p.
El camino h264 should have the h264 flag, unless you have changed out some flags or renamed?
El camino UHD, i dont write UHD in any filename, i only write 2160p. I tried naming one 4K file UHD and i ended up with the regular bluray flag.

El camino WEB-DL is correct, showing WEB-DL and 4K resolution flag.
Halo WEB-DL is correct, same as above.
Punch-drunk love 2160p, should show Ultra-HD bluray flag.

If you want i can send you the colored flag folder without any renaming, you can then replace that folder entirely and that way all the flags should show up correctly as it was intended with the h264/bluray, and the you will see the WEB-DL + 4K flag issue and hopefully fixing it.

All of it is done via logic control, all original flags active, not the one you modded with, exception, I copied the flag from one folder to another (4K)

I'll use your new logic feedback to rework what I have, just a matter of working it until it's right

Now you have the Ultra-HD Bluray flag and 4K flag together which is correct.

Still, the regular Bluray flag and 4K flag does not belong together.
The breaking bad file you have is H264 codec (8bit file) so the flag is correct. I prefer having the WEB-DL flag (or Bluray if it is that) myself though. However the most common codec for 4K is HEVC, all Ultra-HD Bluray files are HEVC, but 4K Non-HDR 8bit stuff like the file you have can be in H264.

Halo shows correct WEB-DL+4K flag.

I see the HDDVD flag shows up on your 480p file (but your filename says 360P), is it from a HDDVD source and down scaled? HDDVD is high definition 1080p. For that flag to appear you need to have HDDVD in the filename.

I dont know if you are doing any major changes to different typing regarding to flags now, but as mentioned, everything works as it is except for the 4K flag not showing up on WEB-DL content in 4K resolution.
It might turn out in a mess maybe? All the resolutions shows up correctly without having to write it in the filename also except for a very few files i have which shows 720p when it is 576p or vice versa.
