Hi everyone,
I'm having some problems with installing xbmc to test it out on the mac (been using it for years on xbox). For reference the OS is OS X 10.4.11. I would like to install into my own Applications directory (i.e. ~/Applications) rather than the system directory as on this particular machine I don't have admin rights, but the installer doesn't allow any choice on this matter. I was wondering - would it be possible to provide a .dmg file that will decompress to give a simple xbmc.app file/directory I could simply drag to my ~/Applications?
Another quick related question - is there any reason xbmc wouldn't run off of a network drive (my user directory is an AFP mount)?
Any help much appreciated and thanks for putting in what obviously must be a lot of hard work.
Cheers
