I am using Kodi(19.3) app on my Sony X95J android 10 TV. Everything is good except the frequently brightness switching during HDR movie playback. That's very annoying.
Mostly it happens when there is a dialog, when camera switching from one character's face to another one's. there is an noticeable brightness change in the background. Can't explain why it happens.
First I thought that's a TV setting problem, but the auto brightness is off on TV and both Netflix, YouTube, Sony's media player works well, also no issue when using PS5 to play 4k HDR disc.
I tried things the other threads suggests like change subtitle color, turn off contrast enhancer on TV ..... can not fix the issue.
I know that Sony TV treats Kodi differently with Netflix, YouTube. Netflix, YouTube are in video apps category, and Kodi is not. However I can't spot any difference in graphics settings, since I always the "Movie" presets.
Please help me out.
