I'm trying to port one of Primaeval's addons to kodi 19. Addon recorder. It lets you download videos from any video addon in kodi which I like because it's universal and is good for addons that don't have a download feature built in. This is where I'm at so far if anyone wants to take a look:

there is already an addon that does this function, it's called youtube-dl control, you put it to play a video, go back to kodi's initial screen, go to program add-ons, open youtube-dl control and select download currently playing video
