I am pulling my hair out trying to get surround sound out of Kodi 19.3 on my Fire TV Stick 4k (E9L29Y, 1st gen).
I am sending optically to a Ayino HD-920 decoder, which supports decoding of Dolby Digital (AC3)/DTS/PCM.
I have the Fire TV Stick "Surround Sound" setting set to Dolby Digital. Surround in Netflix is working fine.
I have tried tweaking the Expert Audio settings in Kodi, but I have now hit a wall and would be very grateful for any tips.
