Solved can't add videos from a missing directory?
#1
I have an Intel 11th gen NUC with Linux Mint Debian Edition 5 (Debian 11 Bullseye) installed. I installed Kodi 19.4 using the Software Manager and I chose the Flatpak version. It seems to work fine with Mythtv, but I tried to add Videos files that were in a directory that Mythtv user owns.

When I try to browse Root Filesystem while adding the video I do not see the directory that the videos are in.  They are in /srv/mythtv/videos.  I can't even see /srv which is not hidden and is owned by root.

Any ideas? Could this be a flatfak issue?

I guessed that flatpak maybe the issue and removed it and then used Software Manager to install the regular version of Kodi.  This time I got 19.1 version but it showed all the directories I needed to add my videos and music to Kodi

Thanks, that fixed it. Now I'm on 19.4 with everything I use working. I just used:

Code:
sudo flatpak override tv.kodi.Kodi --filesystem=host
