well, i've read the features-to-be-implemented thread, and after having seen this thread on the xbmp forums, i was wondering if something like that would be acceptable here too.

specifically, i'm giving my father-in-law a modded xbox for christmas, to serve as a mame box and a digital music player. i'd like the cd ripping feature implemented sometime soon so that he could just rip and store the discs. cddb or freedb support would be even better. as far as i know, xbmp doesn't have this yet either.

so, would putting some money on the table help, or is there just not enough time/resources to do it?
