I reproduced with DTS, AC3. You need a bit of bad luck, but as written before, the likelihood can be reduced by adding cube knowledge. Though, that's exactly the problem why this change is cube specific :-( and therefore only available in this build.

But it will bring us towards the potential next firmware update and beyond.

Hey sorry if this is an "you should've known this" type question, but..

I also have the Cube 3rd gen and am experiencing the HD audio sync/dropouts issue. I came across this thread but can't download the 20230219 "cube-specific" build anymore.

Is there somewhere where I can still find this?

I think about a solution ... maybe I just host it temporarily somewhere else. Reason: the fix that the cube needs is a firmware workaround - I cannot push that to kodi's main repository as it will break other valid setups.

its not giving me dolby atmos on passthrough, which is the only thing i can accurately verify with my setup

(i dont keep up with what version fireos is current, just allow it to do its thing so i noted my version, if its not the version you are talking about disregard and i will try later)

Verified Atmos via DD+ and via TrueHD. Used the recommended IEC sink.

From Kodi POV everything fine: We open AC3 in IEC format ... fancy. Are you sure the device can show "AC3"? Or does it show AC3 when you select RAW instead of IEC?

that would explain it fritsch, recommended not available when firetv is set to PCM
everything appears good when the user (me) actually puts the settings back where theyre supposed to be
