I was living for years in the awesome land of Libreelec linux, but now i am forced to switch to windows due to Hyperion incompatibility (tv ambient back-light).
SO, i got myself an older mini PC with a Pentium N6000 and i will be using it JUST for Kodi. I dont need anything else running on the PC, i dont want anything else running and slowing it down. So i thought i need to really debloat and remove everything, but still i m left with an installation having several "services" running tin the background... Hundreds of threads, no clue as to what all those things are needed for.
I m hoping there is someone to guide me (and us all) on how to safely modify a windows installation and remove EVERYTHING except (obviously) networking functionality and audio/video playback with Kodi.
At the moment, i am trying W10 2021 LTSC, but i am willing to switch to anything you guys suggest
Many thanks!

not sure what any of that has to do with Kodi
disclaimer for all the new users who read this
installing windows that someone else modified could have added malware as easily as removed things, this is also against microsoft policies to do so
installing anything that was mentioned by SextonBlake is not tested or endorsed by anyone related to this project or forum
modifying your own windows installation without the proper knowledge to do so could result in catastrophe, using other people's "predefined scripts" will almost certainly do the same
use good judgement and don't mess up your system (or get malware) by only installing genuine original software
if that is not running fast enough then you may consider a PC upgrade and have a look at minimum requirements for the OS you choose to install

"not sure what any of that has to do with Kodi"
Absolutely nothing to do with Kodi.
All to do with optimising Windows 10 for better performance.
The original poster asked for advice optimising Windows 10.
All the software in the links provided are thoroughly tested and from reputable sources.
If a person is a technically naïve turn key operator, don't optimise Windows 10.
The safest option is purchase the latest and best high quality hardware and install Windows 10 default.
If a person wants to learn, read through all the application guides, then optimise Windows 10.
The predefined scripts are on/off registry values.
Anything switched off can be switched back on.
They can be manually entered using any Windows registry editor.
Why waste time when a script automates the task.
Follow the links, all the instructions are provided.
For the record, Windows 10 slimming is thoroughly useless.
Open Task Manager. Windows 10 only uses the tasks required for the job at hand.
Everything else should be running at 0.00%.
If there is an unexplained task, there is something wrong with the installation.

Used to be a constant windows tweaker back in the day (running flight simulator, probably the most cpu/RAM intense program) but on Win 10, just not worth the effort other than turning off crapware that starts with windows.

Thank you all for your help, your input was valuable... Thank you
After playing around with windows, i am SERIOUSLY considering switching back to linux, and just abort Hyperion TV back light for now.
I really do not enjoy the windows image on my TV... i dont know.. a mental thing? LOL
Btw, for anyone reading this in the future, i have seen great improvement by using the official LTSC version (comes mostly debloated by default), AND disabling EVERYTHING that starts with windows like a previous poster mentioned. Also great improvement with setting Performance Options > Visual Effects to third option aka Adjust For Best Performance (this disables any and all fancy effects with shadows, animations etc.
