I basically need a 1080p media player that's capable of perform well loading a big list of IPTV channels (around 80000). Would something like this be enough? Or do I need to go into x86 territory?

Suspect you won't find a huge amount of assistance here for that request. That many IP channels are unlikely to be provided legally.

So the box claims to do 8K but the LAN interface only supports 10/100. At least it's cheap.
