Scanning Movies hangs on First Movie?
#1
Hey all - I'm new to XBMC but am familiar with boxee, where I first heard about XBMC. I am trying to tag my movies using the Set Content, but once I initiate the scan, it freezes on the first film. I have the directory built as such:

Movies
--Poltergiest
----Poltergiest_1.avi
----Poltergiest_2.avi
--A Beautiful Mind (year).mp4
--Another Move (year).mp4

This structure worked for my TV shows, but for some reason the movies are freezing. They worked correctly w/ boxee.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem when scanning either automatically or individually on a new installation.
I've been playing about with the settings, and have found that I can get XBMC not to hang, if I uncheck "Enable Fanart" in the IMDB scraper settings. I'm hoping it's just a temporary issue, but maybe that will help you out for a little bit.

What about if you delete the fanart for the movie it hangs on, or the one it would scan next. Does is then continue scanning to the next movie?

I have the same problem, but it stopped after scanning around 100 odd films.

So I removed the fil it got stuck on and it just go stuck on the next.

When I removed the "Fan Art" option, all works again.
