I was wondering if it's possible to disable the prompt where you're asked to press 1 for nvidia 2 for ati and 3 for intel gfx and 0 to install on usb/hdd?

Thank you.

In the root of the usb you´ve installed XBMC Live on. So pop it in linux/windows/osx and open it up in a notepad equivalent.

Well, I meant you unplugg it from your HTPC and plug it in another computer while its running another OS, ie Windows. Then its in that root.

Cheers,
Tobias
