i have always had problems with trying to add to library after fresh installing many times. i can get it some times and not other times i have the enable library checked off in the settings but it wont let me select it in the left panel in the music tab

any help

You can't select it because it's empty. Set content and scan your sources. More detail available in the wiki if required.
