wannabegt4 Wrote:Hey guys, I've had the problem with the lines in the graphics as well on both pc and xbox and if I remember correctly all it took to fix it was deleting the guisettings.xml in the userdata folder. It seems that there is a problem when you use a skin with a similar name xbmc get's confused. Lot's of little things like this are usually resolved by deleting that one file.Never knew that.
frater Wrote:I tried it immediately when I read your post, but I renamed the file instead of deleting it. I'm glad as that problem remained after I started XBMC and chose Auriga.lite.7 as skin.I just hope it does not disappoint you all
I'll wait for version 8. I have a feeling it will be the one we're waiting for.
wannabegt4 Wrote:Hmm... That's odd as it seemed to fix it for me... I can say for sure though that it works fine with a fresh install of XBMC so there is definitely something wrong with how XBMC handles skins with similar names. That may well be the case as i have had problems with skins with similar names in the past on both pc and xbox
frater Wrote:As I said in a previous post. I haven't seen this ever on the xbox but only on my PC. At first I thought it had something to do with my videocard and later with the XBMC-version.The problem may be down to me using png gauntlet to optimize the textures prior to compressing them but it still should not be showing on the xbox, the only time i have ever seen this on the xbox was when i used maximum compression, which did improve the memory but it looked crap, so i won't optimize the textures on the next one and see how it goes.
I only have it now with auriga.lite.7 not with mk1 or hitcher's mod (on the PC I can run the full auriga although it gets quite slow.
