Problems @ 1920x1200

Hi,

I'm using my HTPC on 26" LCD monitor with native resolution 1920x1200, but I'm having problems finding suitable resolution mode in XBMC.

1.Setup scenario - XBMC @ 1920x1200@50Hz (Full screen)
"System info" shows - 1920x1200 1920x1200@50Hz(Full screen) 29.97Hz

Problem: Playback of divx(512x288) or HD(1920x1080) is very jerky. During playback fps drops under 24.

2.Setup scenario - XBMC @ Auto
"System info" shows - 1280x720 720p 16:9 60Hz (not in Full Screen)
"System info" shows - 1280x720 720p 16:9 29,97Hz (in Full Screen \)

Problem: XBMC doesn't start in Full screen mode so I have to press \ to put it in FS and I have to repeat this every time playback stops.
But at this mode, playback of any video (divx or HD) is Ok. During playback fps is at proper value.
I have also tried with -fs switch, but then XBMC gui (menu text) is stretch out of screen.

Funny thing is, if I start XBMC @ Auto mode (1.Setup scenario) and then switch it to 1920x1200@50Hz (2.Setup scenario), playback is Ok also @ 1920x1200@50Hz, but after restart/reboot jerky problems are back. I'm usnig "Test resolution" after changing mode, to make sure I'm in proper mode.

Sw details:
Ubuntu Interpid 8.10 i686 (minimal install, but with standard packages)
XBMC (SVN PPA)
Tested with svn 18158(Feb 28) and svn 18262(Mar 6), same results.
nvidia driver version 180.11
default skin

Hw details:
Motherboard ASUS M2NPV-VM AM2 with NVIDIA GeForce 6150
AMD X2 64 +3800
1GB RAM

For test I also tried 1.Setup scenario on Hp8510p notebook with Radeon HD2600, Core2 Duo T7700 @ 2.40GHz, same sw as above, "System info" shows 1920x1200@60Hz(Full screen) ~92Hz.
Playback and GUI runs very smoothly.

Conclusion:
1. Do we have bug when changing mode from Auto to 1920x1200, as I discovered playback is OK as long XBMC is restarted or rebooted.
2. Do I need better GPU as GeForce 6150 for 1920x1200? Probably not if I could somehow solve setup issues.

Hi, it sounds like a problem similar to that affecting the NVIDIA 8200's
