Hi - I'm new to xbmc, but I really dig it. I'm using ubuntu 8.04 and installed using the repos. I've been trying to get it to work with mednafen or fceu so I can play nintendo from within xbmc. I've installed "Launcher", added "/usr/" to my file sources. I created a launcher in the following way:
right click > add new launcher
application /usr/games/mednafen
command line arguments -fs 1
files to run with: nes
I added all the files and all my games are showing up. Here's what's weird:
when I try to run one of the games, it shows "Loading: " - it gets to 100% and then nothing happens. I checked my processes running and mednafen wasn't in there. Sometimes xbmc makes a little sad noise after I try to play a game. It's the same with fceu. I tried adding blackjack just for the hell of it and it sort of works (runs behind xbmc and there's some double-buffer weirdness going on) but it runs...
Any ideas what's going on? Anybody got xbmc and fceu / mednafen working? Thanks for the help
