Ive heard reports that the linux version struggles to thumbnail images quickly?
My Revo arrives monday with extra RAM, ive never touched Linux in my life!
Would someone please be kind enough to point me in the right direction to a guide to install XBMC on it?
Am i wipeing everything from it and starting a fresh with a special linux?? or just adding to the current setup?
Thanks in advance?
Welcome to the forum, if your completely new to Linux might I suggest trying XBMC Live instead.
Out of the box support for VDPAU (hw accel for Revo) and should be a lot simpler than doing the installation said in the guide, in fact if you install XBMC Live on a hdd you'll end up with the same installation, just less work done.
If you need hdmi audio you might need to update your alsa but that goes for the guide aswell.
Cheers,
