grumbler Wrote:I just looked a little bit into the "Export HTML" feature and did an export of my database.
Worked as promised but I think there is a little flaw:
As far as I understand then the fanarts of all movies are exported in files with name like <movie_nr>_fanart.jpg
The number seems to be according to the alphabetical sorting of the films?
Right now the result are for my collection 140 MB in the export directory (fanarts and covers).
Allright, upload speeds with DSL are crap, but I uploaded the complete export to my webspace.
But what happens if I add a new movie to my database, eg "2012"? This movie is sorted in at the top of the list because of its name and if I do a new export of the database now each and every fanart and cover file has a new name with its number increased by one. So now I have to upload again the complete 140 MB to my webspace, although just 1 cover and 1 fanart are new.
This is very annoying I think and so I have a proposal: Couldn't the files (and the placeholders in the HTML) not use another unique number? First in mind comes the IMDB-ID. This way the exported image files keep their name
with every export and only new files needed to be uploaded to the webspace.
Would this be possible?
+1! I have been bugged by this for some time now and would love this! Either IMDB-id or an internal MovieID. Pretty please
