I installed xbmc a couple of days ago and it worked fine. I updated my drivers and upon launch (windowed or fullscreen) I lose signal to my outputs.

I have an ATI HD4850 updated to 9.4

Is there a problem with my opengl drivers, are they seperate from the catalyst drivers?

no, they are part of it.

can you get your desktop displayed on tv without xbmc?

Yea I could.

I completely removed my drivers and catalyst software and backed up to the 8-10 hotfix drivers to get it to work.
