The thumbnail path is by default in XBMC/UserData/Thumbnails
I've been searching the forum archives for a couple of hours for a way to globally change this path. I have also searched the XBMC wiki (including http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/inde...ttings.xml and http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/inde...Thumbnails ).
I want to change this path because I want control over where the autogenerated thumbnails are stored whenever I start browsing using XBMC's "My Pictures".
In my older installation of XBMC, I believe I was able to accomplish changing the thumbnail path using the following parameter in XboxMediaCenter.xml:
<thumbnails>DRIVE_LETTER:FOLDER_PATH</thumbnails>
I have attempted using this same parameter in AdvancedSettings.xml, but the setting appears to be ignored. I know that AdvancedSettings.xml is being parsed because other changes made within the file are being accepted and reported in the xbmc.log. For example:
12:36:36 M: 51662848 DEBUG: loglevel: 3
12:36:36 M: 51642368 DEBUG: songinfoduration: 2
12:36:36 M: 51642368 DEBUG: remoterepeat: 480
12:36:36 M: 51642368 DEBUG: controllerdeadzone: 0.200000
