Hi to all,
It has been almost 2 months since i have been using XMBC. I have solved so many issues one by one but at this point i do not solve anything. I have a few questions, i kindly request to reply if you can help me. Please do not say search forums or read the manuals. Sometimes i cant even understand the topic because i am not a natural english speaker.
My system is basicly:
| Intel Conroe E8600 @4.0ghz | Asus Striker Extreme (Bios 1603) Linked&Synced| 2*2GB Mushkin XP2 DDR II @800MHz (4-4-3-10-1T) | Raidmax X-force Black Knight | Evga 640MB 8800GTS | Zalman 600W | Western Digital Raptor 2*140 GB Raid0 + 400 GB | Samsung 226BW | Samsung Dvdrw | Logitech Illuminated Keyboard | Logitech MX Revolution | Logitech Dinovo Mini | JBL Creature II | Silverstone HDD Case | Microsoft VX1000 Webcam | Powercom 1000VA UPS | Skystar II | Vista Ultimate x64 |
Conntected to LG 42LG5030 (1920*1080 60hz) via dvi to hdmi cable.
The video quality for 1080p .mkv videos are almost same with xmbc or other windows players. But DVD movie quality is really worse than windvd or wmp. Anyone can see the difference in quality. Also i have tested bluray files (.ts) with high quality. Wmp is quite good than xmbc. XMBC is shaking the screen( or flickering i dont know the exact word)
1- Which setting i can do from xmbc for a solution for all kind of videos?
Render Method: Auto Detect / Software / Advanced Sharers / Bacis Sharers
Adjust Refresh Rate: On or Off
Hi Quality Software Upscaling:Always Enabled / Off / Enable only SD Content
Upscale Methos: Bicubic / Lanchoz / Sinc
IN MOVIE MENU:
Interlaced Handling: So many options
Scaling methos: Nearest Neighbour / Bilinear / Interlaced
2-Can i get better picture quality if i use xmbc for linux?
3- Do i have to change some settings of Nvidia control panel?
4- I am enabling VSYNC for everytime because of tearings. Does it have anything with picture quality?
Thank you very much for the help
