gnif Wrote:Nope, the problem has nothing to do with matching the FPS... I have found the issue and fixed it...

Verified!

Updated to latest SVN. The GUI is now running smooth, at correct FPS.

Verified too. r21070 runs perfect, even on VC1!

(But still 30fps in menu (set to 60Hz) - I still think, this is correct in fact of the progressive/interlaced-thing)

Regards,
Patrick
XBMC 9.11 (SVN 28275) on minimal Ubuntu 9.04
on ZOTAC ION-A (Atom330 / 4GB / 250GB HDD / Atric Switch / Silverstone LC19 Case)

No, GUI should work as well @ 60Hz = 60fps, at least it does so for me. Try cycling your resolutions set in XBMC ( - change res and change back).

Ditch the "safefull" hacks. Remove the old SVN, do a clean checkout. Remove your .xbmc folder in homedir.

It should work for you.. Smile

Perhaps that should be updated in the interface, the Hz suffix is inappropriate, and I think the reason this problem caused so much confusion in the first place, it should be FPS... the output it always going to be @ X Hz, but the rendering rate may vary from machine to machine, esp if VSYNC is turned off.
I am not scared of SVN - Cutting my hands open on the bleeding edge.
