I've followed directions on multiple sites to try and figure out how to watch videos on my Mac's HD from my Xbox, but something just isn't clicking.
I can get my Xbox to recognize that my Mac's there (osx v10.4.11) , but every time I try to get in I'm asked for a username/password. That wouldn't be such a bad thing if every time I put it in, it stalls for 30 seconds, then asks me again what my name and password is.
It still happens when I put the username/password in beforehand (by adding a new location). I'm 99.99% positive that I'm inputting in the right stuff, and the firewall's off momentarily. Maybe it's a problem with my router?
I've gotten FTP to work, but it's really slow for me. Is SMB much faster? If there's any other methods some of you have gotten to work with Macs, I'd be interested to hear that as well.
