Hi there.
I've been using OpenSubtitles for a while now. Love it.
It's been some time now since I'm having a problem with it. I know that we are in the midle of a big merge for the whole addons thing, so I know this might be just a temporary glitch, but I wanted to check with others if some one else has detected it.
By the way I'm using right now rev125 (but I have seen this several revisions ago, I can be more precise how long ago) with some post-28764 personal builds on windows (7 to be precise). Latest is r29036.
The thing is that after running the script once and successfully downloading 1 subtitle I get an error message in the log saying:
After that if I try to launch it again to download a second subtitle I get the following exception:
And the script never runs. I can still unpause the video and use xbmc normaly with the exception of any python stuff (plugins, scripts, etc) that won't work again until xbmc is restarted (also the xbmc.exe process is not ended after exit so I have to kill it manually).
As I said, It might be just some trouble with xbmc's python implementation... or not. We'll see soon enough.
Anyway, thanks for this great script.
Ps. Now that I decided to write about your script let me add a suggestion I was planning to program myself to the script.
I use your script with 2 kinds of media:
1. Local video files
2. Internet streams produced by plugins.
For the first one I prefer the option of storing the subtitles in the video folder as in that way the subtitles are available from any other player that access the video.
But for the second type this doesn't work since you can't save the subtitles in a remote url so I use the alternate subtitles path for that.
Since I use both file types indistinctly I would like that the script tried to store locally and if it can't go to the optional folder... I'm not sure if this feature will be nice for other people to, but I think it might.
If you are interested in including it I can pass the code when it's done.
