480p Mov Trailer.
#1
Hi all, sorry if this has been addressed before or I missed something, but I am having trouble playing a couple of trailer's from (http://www.davestrailerpage.co.uk/trailers_c.html) "Crossing Over" 480p
http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.d...=web&pt=rd
The file info says 852x362 AAC H.264 .Mov

I checked the
Wiki
and if i read it correctly it should work fine?

I am running a XBOX with the latest : T3CH XBMC 2009-06-27 SVN rev21142 build.

Another thing, that might not be related I have noticed if I play a movie by the time I get 1/4 of the way though and press the pause button or any other button it takes a few seconds for the Xbox to respond to the request.

Any ideas ?

I guess the xbox can't play 480p, guess I read wrong.

Does this look like a bug, should I report it ? not sure what the protocol is around here!

Also tested with DVDPlayer instead of mplayer and it works fine.

Any ideas ?

Thx.

you could make the DVDplayer be your default player since it handles it just fine.

make a file called Advancedsettings.xml with:

Code:
<advancedsettings>
    <video>
         <defaultplayer>dvdplayer</defaultplayer>
     </video>
</advancedsettings>

and put it into your Userdata folder to make the DVDplayer become the default player.

Other than that, I'd suggest updating your XBMC build to see if the issue has been fixed yet. Google "xbmc nightly builds" and it should be the top result. There are builds for all the platforms there. Alternatively, use your T3CH updater script from your script folder and change the source to the nightly builds in order to download it.
When posting about a problem please submit a debug log to give you the best chance at getting an answer. It's easy, painless, and helps provide necessary information.

Thx, good suggestion, will try that.

If the nightly build is still a problem do u suggest that this is a bug and that I should lodge it ?

Also is there any disadvantaged of using the DVDPlayer over the mplayer ?

Thx again, Matt.

Updated to the latest nightly build, no luck fixing it, still same problem.

In meantime I have set the dvdplayer as the default player.
