I'm using XBMC for several months and I love it but now I have a BIG problem.
The system on which XBMC is compiled is debian squeeze with kernel 2.6.30-1-amd64. The video card is NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS using the NVIDIA drivers 185.18.31.
Until today everything was working fine. Then I've decided to get the latest svn version (XBMC pre-9.10 r22286). The configure, make and make install went without any problems, as usual. I've stared the XBMC to watch some movies but then the big surprise hit me, the XBMC was unable to play any videos. I mean any videos, no matter if they were local files or network streams. When I hit play nothing happens - no video, no error, no change, noting.
The strange thing is that the audio files are playable and the visualization is running fine.
Please tell me how can i debug the application or give some clues what could be the reason for this problem.
