Transfer files from Vista 64 to Xbmc Live 9:04?
#1
Hello!
I'm new to this forum but an old xbmc / xbox user.
I recently purchased a ASRock ion 330 to run xbmc live on it, and it is very good.
XBMC Live is installed on the hdd and all is moving well.
Now I'll soon go out to my cottage in the country and I want to transfer movies and music to the hdd.
The problem is that I apparently have to be so stupid so that I do not see how I do it.

Previously, I used ftp and I would like to continue with it, but how?
Common connection UnPnP would be excellent, drag and drop files on the home folder where I want them.
But how?
I do not understand what I'm doing wrong.

Please help me here!

Regards
Rob

It works very good with sftp but with one exception.
It is sloooow.
I suppose that sftp connections are slow so therefor i have another question:

Is it possible to manually install a ftp server in xbmc live?
I am a linux noob for shure so does anyone knows how to do this.

A ftp server that autostarts when i boot xbmc.

It is done.
I completed the task by install a samba server and shared xbmc folders on my network.
It works fine but it was difficult to get everything right when you have to do everything in with commandline.
