I have noticed one thing that's really annoying. In either Mednafen or ZSnes, the controls are mapped to the individual hardware id of each controller. Therefore, if I want to keep player 1 the same as whatever player 1 light comes on on the controller, it means I have to use the same controller each time for P1 (and therefore turn on the controllers in the right order)
This gets even more frustrating in ZSnes, as the controls aren't mapped into the hardware, but they are mapped to J30,J31,J3a etc or J20,J21,J2a etc. It seems to follow a Jx1 format, where x is randomly assigned to the controller. This means that every time I want to play on the zsnes, it means I have to remember which controller was P1 and which was P2 last time i used it. Otherwise I've got to go and do a reconfigure through the zsnes menu
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. I assume there may be some way of mapping a joystick hardware id into a WID id through xboxdrv, but for the life of me I have no idea how to do that
