Hi all,

I'm new to XBMC, but not new to building computers etc.
My question is simple.

System:
Jetway IPC board 1,5 GHz VIA chip
PCI ATI HD2400Pro 512 Mb video card (HDMI out)
1 Gb memory (533)
2,5" 60 Gb HDD

I want to run LINUX / WINDOWS with XBMC and watch 720p HD movies.
With this system run smoothly or not?
The nice thing about the setup is that it is completely fanless. All I have to do is put it in a windy place :-)

Nope probably not gonna do it for a few reasons.

1. The C7 is way too under-powered to serve out even 720p movies.
2. The ATI card can't use VDAPU because its not an NVIDIA card so hardware acceleration isn't possible.

Assuming you can handle a linux distro, I would go with either an ION setup for things like bluray rips and stuff, or a mATX setup with a decent dual core (AMD dual-cores are cheap these days) and Windows for general ease of setup.
