bus would be irrelevant as long as the card supports it.

wow, I'm at a loss here. I'm looking ad the VDPAU page and can't seem to find an AGP 8 video-card there. Does that mean I wont be able to see MKV files on my setup (that lacks pci-e slot)? Is there someone here using an agp 8 card that can share some info with me?
Thanks

Well, the AGP Bus was replaced by PCI-E quite some time ago, so it's not unthinkable that there simply isn't a VDPAU Compatible nVidia Card avaliable for AGP at all.

So yes, it's possible you've got to go and spend some money on a hardware upgrade.

If this is a dedicated HTPC I'd recommend either ASRock ION330 or Asus EEEBox EB1012, depending on your preferences in price n' stuff.
