just got back from NCIX and picked up:
Visiontek Radeon HD 4850 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E VGA DVI HDMI Video Card
Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X4096-6400C5 4GB DDR2 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL 5-5-5-18 240PIN Memory Kit
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA2 3.5IN 8.5MS 7200RPM 32MB Hard Drive OEM
that should keep me running for a while, for both software decoding as well as hardware (if i stick to windows - i didnt think about the VDPAU - linux combination when i was at the store)... down the road i'll nuke the system and put on windows 7 64 bit to take advantage of the ram
comments on the video card at all?
