Outplace XBMC MovieDB on SMB-Share
#1
Hello,

i have a NAS where my movies are stored on (i dont use the internal disk of the xbox for storing movies). Is there a posibility to outplace the userdata-folder also on an smb-share (like the movies?).

The Wiki says:

Quote:XBMC uses SQLite, an open source light-weight SQL database-engine, to store all its library related data (Music, Video, and Program databases). By default, the database files (*.db) are stored in The UserData Folder, specifically $HOME\UserData\Database\.

So where is the place to define, that the $HOME-Directory is on an smb-share?

I'am using XBMC on XBOX.

Thanks for your help

Michael

is there than a possibility to put the database-files on a connected usb-drive or to encrypt the database? or copy the database files during the boot-up-process from the smb-share and delete the local files before shut down?
