i vote for view 4 and your original home scrrens still does it for me although the new one does look pretty sexy. maybe you could add a skin option to change it or even a theme.

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, but 4 looks 2-3 pt sizes smaller than 3. In any case, the text area is definitely smaller.

The font size is exactly the same in 3 and 4, but you're right, the text area is smaller in 4. I also might try having the text in all caps. Not sure how it'll look but worth a try.
