Normally this should be MUCH easier too, since For The Record directly supports REST The next major version (which is currently in beta) will also support RTSP, which will be needed to stream to XBMC of course...
Folks I would also vote for this in a big way. 4TR is a superb piece of software, and deals with all the tv cards, channels, complex scheduling, EPG ..., this is THE perfect back-end to marry to XBMC. I have used MePo for years and switched to 4TR (and now Argus) recently. XBMC is the front end I want to use as it covers many platforms and is FAST. Please consider moving development of a plug-in to 4TR. These guys have put a lot of effort into solving the complex back-end issues vbevan
