Hauppauge 45 Button Partially Works in 9.11 Camelot
#1
I just upgraded to 9.11 Camelot and now my Hauppauge 45 button remote only works partially.

In 9.04.1, the remote works perfectly. In 9.11 I cannot navigate in XBMC as I could before. I have both installed on my machine and the remote issue onyl tracks to 9.11. I can only pause and restart video that's playing.

The new version is kick ass, so I sure would like to get this working.

I have tried everything I can think of (eventghost, intelliremote), but I keep going back to the fact that 9.04.1 is working perfectly.

Thanks In Advance

Have a look at http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Usi..._with_XBMC

I think the Hauppauge is the same as an MS remote, in which case configuring it to send the MCE keystrokes is easy.

I think the Hauppauge 45-button remote is a different animal to the Hauppauge MCE remote - see link:

http://www.hauppauge.eu/boutique_us/fich...g_us&num=0

I cannot get Showkey.exe (JHSRennie's utility) to display any buttons (whereas the Hauppauge MCE remote is OK). However, in EventGhost I get events such as MceRemote.37A5 (for OK), (working with an MCE IR receiver), which suggests that each button sends a 4-digit hex code.

In fact, I found a file on the GB-PVR website for this remote, which shows the decimal equivalent of the code for each button (for example, &37A5 = 14245 = OK). File is here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...onfigs.zip

Not sure where that gets you, though...

Thanks for the posts!

I'm thinking there must be something about 9.11. All previous versions of xbmc the remote works perfectly! The remote behavior just started this release.

Any ideas?
