[LIVE] Antec Veris Basic and Harmony remote
#1
I have Antec Veris Basic IR receiver and Harmony 659 remote. I would like to get it to work under latest XBMC Live (RC1). I have read countless posts but since I am a noob, I need some guidance.

Currently, XBMC responds to ENTER and BACK with the included RM100 remote (Antec). So I am assuming that IR receiver is loaded into system and somehow the Keymap.xml and Lircmap.xml files are semi-configured (at least for the two remote buttons). Am I correct?

I can also add Antec Veris IR receiver and MCE remote in Harmony's setup.

So given that my Harmony remote will output MCE codes, what do I do next?

I could never get it to work under LIVE, and ended up adding another MCE receiver to the PC internally...

There is a discussion on the Ubuntu forums, you may find useful

I have this same issue as well and have been fighting with it. 9.11 xbmc and 9.10 Ubuntu (mythbuntu).

I found this post but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

I also got Xbox DVD remote as a backup just in case I fail to get the Antec remote working. It was only $5 and I think it only requires to modify the Xbox plug to USB which I can handle.
