I just received a 'new' XBOX ver. 1.0 that I bought off Ebay.

I have a 'zero filled' 120GB Hard Drive I want to put into the XBOX.

Should I add the drive first or Softmod with existing 8GB drive and then upgrade to the 120GB drive?

Also, I am not sure wether to use SID 5.10 or Autoinstaller 4.51 - which is recommended?

If you know how to install the new HDD without first softmodding the box, by all means go ahead. There's no problem with doing it that way.

If you don't know how, then you'll probably find it easier to softmod first, upgrade later. Walk before you run.

Not sure what you mean by "Autoinstaller". If you mean Auto Installer Deluxe, you won't be able to use that to install your initial softmod. Anyway, use either Krazie's or Kingroach's NDure installers.
