I want to adjust the background transparency so the backdrops are not as "washed out" and less transparent I guess it would be. I know this has been asked before, I searched for it but the info I found no longer worked I think some things have been changed since the "final release". So can someone please tell me what exactly to edit now, again sorry for asking this yet again but I really liked it at around 60 instead of the default that was 30.

Modify the first first hex value (FF in my example to a lower value) of the corresponding color xml in /Alaska/colors/

<color name="BackgroundColor">FFxxxxxx</color>


Keep in mind, the more you make the background transparent, the more you wont be able to read any text.

I wanted to make the fanart more visible as well.

I have found that with the default.xml I can live with:

<color name="BackgroundColor">AAxxxxxx</color>

Fanart is more visible and I can still read the text

thanks, thats about what im using, only problem now is the home menu background is a ugly color of white. any suggestions on how to make that look the default white color and shade? with keeping the transparency for the other menus

I would like to change the background for the home menu only (leaving the other views as they are).

I hope someone will post the xml code to do that
