Hi, I'm trying to install xbmc-live on a USB-stick. I've used the "Guided - use whole disk" option and the script does the partitioning and formating, starts to copy files and fails at somewhere above 90%, no error message. I'm uncertain where the error actually occurs, but I have included the syslog message:

I've tried several CD's and also tried to install missing packages manually, with varied success, but at some point it fails either way. Choosing to install grub or LILO from the menu fails at the prompt as well.

update: After trying to install/format the drive 15 different ways I was finally able to get LILO installed (on MBR) instead of GRUB, and now it boots from the HDD!

How did u do that? I have the same problem, but Lilo wont install either

Trying to do a clean install - deleted old partitions (SSD) but think this may still be related to something hanging over from the old partitions. Anyone got a step by step guide on how to work around this issue? Been at this for days!

OK - fixed myself - a dodgy CD burn - used a different CD burmer & worked first time!
