Emmm! - Yes it does.
Ahh these newer builds aren't portable.. Got it Smile
Sno Crash Wrote:yes you can. rename the skin folder to have a "skin." prefix, and drop it in the Addons folder. Picks it up automatically.

I've had to add the 'skin.' prefix, move to the addons folder, copy the 'addon.xml' file from confluence to the new 'skin.alaska' folder, then tweak the id entry, etc within 'addon.xml', etc to match the Alaska name.

The skin appears now however need to test!
Can nobody gimme a Hand on my Problem posted above? Sad
Really dont know what to do anymore ...
Is there a way to install but not have the XBMC installer try to install FFDShow? I already had the latest beta FFDSHow installed on my PCs whereas the build the installer wants to install is an older build. Just canceling out when it tries to install FFDShow might be the answer but wasn't sure if it would mess up anything else.
Cheers,
Damian

You just have to uncheck it on the first page on the installer!

You don't provide any log file ...

If you are on XP, if the DirectX device resets, you've got a crash, no matter it was due to xbmc or reclock. Just wait for a fix Smile

Installed latest svn on my W7 x32 HTPC (5670 GPU). I can confirm that I can now successfully bitstream HD Audio (DTS-MA and TrueHD) with XBMC + DSPlayer! Only issue I noticed is that there was slight stuttering during playback (h264 and vc1 mkvs)

I am also experiencing the same playback issues. Once this issue is addressed, i feel dsplayer will be stable enough for main htpc duty. I'm happy to see auto refresh is working correctly! Keep up the good work guys! Big Grin
Is this currently the only method to achieve HD bitstreaming through XBMC?

I assume that unless you can get the default XBMC player to use 3rd party filters (MPC. Haali, FFDShow, etc...) then the only way is with a 3rd party player (such as DSPlayer or MPC HC)

Hi,

I just started experimenting with xbmc on Vista.
In the old xbmc for xbox I could select audio left or right. I need this because sometimes VCD's or MPG's contain different languages on the left and right channel.
Now i'm using xbmc on windows and I cannot switch audio anymore on the same file. All I see is "MP2 stereo (1/1)" at the audio channel selection.

I am said that it used to be possible because the use of mplayer. Now XBMC doesn't use it anymore. Does anybody know if DSplayer kan manage this?

Thanx!

Is there a way to allow XBMC to normally use 3rd party filters? (besides Internal Directshow Based Player that is)
