The Dell MCE receivers on ebay are also RC6 - they're actually complete clones of the original Microsoft MCE receiver.

it's just a shame that microsoft are not building stand-alone hardware for MCE systems anymore... and as the media center stuff is now integral part of win7 they really should start doing so again.
sure the china no-name remote kits are MCE-compatible in the way that the system gets the right commands via USB, but the transmission between remote and receiver has NOTHING to do with the official MCE (RC6) standard.
that's why lots of people are having problems using these shitty MCE receivers with their HTPC/Lirc and universal remote setups.

Any tips on reducing the slowness of this remote in XBMC? I've adjusted the inter-key delay (100ms) and repeat rate (1) in Harmony software but boy is this simply frustrating to use in XBMC.

bump. Still have problems with this remote. Seems XBMC ignores 2 out of every 3 button presses. Any idea what could cause this?

Thanks. I am not sure how those links pertain to my issue. Whether you think this remote is crap or not I'm already $300 invested in this remote and it controls all of my other gear PERFECTLY.
Anyone else have any suggestions?
