After completing my HTPC build, I bought this remote from amazon. Like advertised, it's plug and play, no drivers needed. It shows up as an HID.
However, other than the use of the mouse controls and play/pause, the thing is pretty useless. The arrow keys, the colored ABCD keys, FF/REW, etc all really don't do what you'd expect them to.
Is there a way to capture the IR codes being sent or button IDs and reconfigure them?
Can the IR receiver included with the remote be used instead for a remote such as this?
This is on XP SP3, btw. TIA
